Dog Friendly Holidays
Simple, peaceful dog friendly accommodation in Wales
Looking for dog friendly holidays in Wales?
At Ffynnonwen, dogs aren’t an afterthought - the site is naturally suited to them. There’s space, quiet and room to settle. No busy roads, no crowded pitches and no constant stream of people walking past your tent or accommodation.
Whether you’re bringing a nervous dog, an older dog or one that just prefers peace and routine, this is a place where they can properly relax alongside you.
Dog friendly accommodation
As dog parents ourselves, we know how hard it can be to find places to stay that accept dogs, especially those of a nervous disposition ( yes, we have one of those too!). We also know how important it is for your furry friend to be able to relax and holiday with you!
We've made sure that all accommodation at Ffynnonwen is dog friendly, with plenty of space between pitches and glamping areas for a restful stay all round.
No tightly packed rows, just simple, quiet camping where your dog can relax beside you.
Bell Tents
Comfortable glamping bell tents, positioned for privacy and a slower pace of stay.
Learn moreOrchard bell tent: A fully enclosed, private space with a high, discreet fence - ideal for sensitive or anxious dogs who need to feel secure and contained.
Important:
Dogs should be kept on leads around the site unless inside the enclosed orchard area.

Dog Friendly Holidays FAQs
Can dogs be off lead on site?
Dogs should be kept on leads around the site to make sure everyone - and every dog - feels comfortable.
The exception is the Orchard Bell Tent, which has its own fully enclosed space where dogs can be off lead safely.
Is the site suitable for nervous dogs?
Yes - the site tends to work well for dogs that need space.
There’s distance between pitches, no main pathways running past accommodation and a generally quiet and calm atmosphere. The Orchard Bell Tent is the best option for dogs that need a secure, enclosed area of their own.
How many dogs can we bring?
We’re happy to welcome multiple dogs, however it depends upon the size of the dog and how many dogs are already booked in to stay as to how many you can bring.
The glamping units are suitable for up to 2 large dogs - any more than that and you'll be feeling a squeeze! If you'd like to bring more than 2 dogs, get in touch and we'll see what we can work out.
If you're camping, it's up to you how many dogs you want to share with! Again, if you'd like to bring more than 2, get in touch to make sure we're not already at dog capacity. (Too many dogs on site can get a bit hectic and is not a good environment for a relaxing break!)
Are there walks straight from the site?
Yes - there are winding paths around the land for a quick morning wee walk. For longer walks from site, you can access nearby woodland and countryside via quiet lanes.
Are nearby beaches dog friendly?
Yes — Llangrannog, New Quay, Cwm Tydu, Penbryn and Aberporth are just some of the local beaches that allow dogs all year round.
Is there space between pitches and accommodation?
Yes. The site is intentionally low density, with room between camping pitches, bell tents and the yurt. You won’t have people constantly walking past your space.
Do dogs need to be supervised?
Yes - as with any countryside setting, dogs should be supervised, especially around wildlife and livestock in surrounding areas.
What makes this different from a typical dog friendly site?
It’s quieter and more spread out.
Ffynnonwen isn’t a holiday park - there are no busy roads, entertainment areas or tightly packed pitches. It’s a slower, more natural environment that suits dogs who prefer space and calm.
If you’re unsure whether the site will suit your dog, feel free to get in touch before booking - we’re always happy to talk it through.
