"A wonderful holiday in a beautiful part of Wales. so much to explore, beaches, beautiful train trips in the mountains with Red Kites. Ffynnonwen is a secluded campsite, totally unspoilt and nestled in beautiful scenery, and close to beaches. I would totally recommend this campsite and the lovely, generous couple who have set it up for all lucky people to visit. Thank you for a great holiday."
"Me and the famalam recently spent four nights at Ffynnonwen and absolutely loved it, so much that my daughter pretty much cried all the way home ...... The campsite has such a lovely chilled out vibe, the amenities are clean and there is an added bonus of having your own fire pit. The beaches are stunning, dog friendly and a 10 minute drive away. There are beautiful coastal and forest walks and the best ice cream shops too. The owners are such great hosts, nothing is a problem and they have a good knowledge of the local area.
Four nights were not enough so we'll be back next year for a week.
Ffynnonwen is a hidden gem; I highly recommend staying here."
"Just had a great stay at the Ffynnonwen camp site, although the weather wasn't the best (typical Bank Holiday), the fire pit with our pitch was a welcome addition - it's always great to sit outside with friends around a fire. Will definitely go back as the location is just what you need for a great quiet break."
"Just back from a brilliant fortnight in West Wales with our first week spent at this lovely little site. This is back to basics camping at its best with campfires permitted which the kids loved. Nice flat, sheltered pitches with no stones made pitching a breeze. The site is on the owners small holding and free range eggs from genuinely happy hens were available as was a bit of home grown seasonal produce. We had our dog with us and were able to use a walk round the edge of the site for the early morning dog walk. The area itself has loads to offer. You'll need a car to make the most of it although it looks like great road biking terrain. Highlights for us were body boarding on Llangrannog beach, dolphin watching at New Quay, Sculpture Heaven, Poppit Sands for a big dog friendly beach and the Botanic Gardens of Wales which was worth the journey and enjoyed by 3 generations - they allow dogs in on a Monday in the summer holidays. Overall a fantastic holiday in a beautiful location. We'll definitely be back."
