What our Guests say...

"After a long stint at work, a well needed break from it all was required.... And Ffynnonwen Eco Campsite hit the spot. Because of the pending weather and time of year we opted for a bit of glamping in the Mongolian Yurt.... And what a find, coal and wood burning stove was lit on arrival, and all the amenities for a brew and a bit of Welsh cake, snug as bugs all night." Oct 2019

"A fantastic stay in a stunning location. The yurt itself is wonderful, super comfy and snug with all the facilities you need to cater for yourselves. A perfect location for an autumn/ winter weekend. Ffynnonwen is perfectly located for biking, walking and the beautiful welsh coast. Finally, Lloyd and family are perfect hosts. We felt really looked after and can't wait to come back." Sept 2019

"Very peaceful location, the yurt was beautifully crafted, sturdy and warm. Hosts really welcoming and supplied fresh drinking water and fire wood daily." August 2019

"Ffynnonwen is a great location for a relaxing camping trip. We got the small pitch in the woods which suited us well. From the campsite, we drove to the nearby towns and hiked along the coast. Lindsey was a great host and was a HUGE help when we got a flat tire. If you want a camping spot away from the large camper vans, this is a perfect place!" July 2019

"Spent 2 nights camping last week at Fynnonwen. What a great place. We were the only people camping but because of the layout and the owners, we wished we had been staying all week. Facilities are really good, freezer, fridge and microwave, so can keep everything cool, and if all else fails you can heat things up! Never used compost loos before, but straightforward and really clean. Then to top it off, you can have a campfire - absolutely loved it. We will definitely stay again." June 2019

"A wonderful holiday in a beautiful part of Wales. so much to explore, beaches, beautiful train trips in the mountains with Red Kites. Ffynnonwen is a secluded campsite, totally unspoilt and nestled in beautiful scenery, and close to beaches. I would totally recommend this campsite and the lovely, generous couple who have set it up for all lucky people to visit. Thank you for a great holiday." August 2018

"Me and the famalam recently spent four nights at Ffynnonwen and absolutely loved it, so much that my daughter pretty much cried all the way home ......
The campsite has such a lovely chilled out vibe, the amenities are clean and there is an added bonus of having your own fire pit.
The beaches are stunning, dog friendly and a 10 minute drive away. There are beautiful coastal and forest walks and the best ice cream shops too.
The owners are such great hosts, nothing is a problem and they have a good knowledge of the local area.
Four nights were not enough so we'll be back next year for a week.
Ffynnonwen is a hidden gem; I highly recommend staying here.

"Just had a great stay at the Ffynnonwen camp site, although the weather wasn't the best (typical Bank Holiday), the fire pit with our pitch was a welcome addition - it's always great to sit outside with friends around a fire. Will definitely go back as the location is just what you need for a great quiet break." August 2018

"Just back from a brilliant fortnight in West Wales with our first week spent at this lovely little site. This is back to basics camping at its best with campfires permitted which the kids loved. Nice flat, sheltered pitches with no stones made pitching a breeze. The site is on the owners small holding and free range eggs from genuinely happy hens were available as was a bit of home grown seasonal produce. We had our dog with us and were able to use a walk round the edge of the site for the early morning dog walk. The area itself has loads to offer. You'll need a car to make the most of it although it looks like great road biking terrain. Highlights for us were body boarding on Llangrannog beach, dolphin watching at New Quay, Sculpture Heaven, Poppit Sands for a big dog friendly beach and the Botanic Gardens of Wales which was worth the journey and enjoyed by 3 generations - they allow dogs in on a Monday in the summer holidays. Overall a fantastic holiday in a beautiful location. We'll definitely be back." July 2018
